Hi Folks,

After Many Years Of Hoping And Searching We Have Had The Pleasure Of Offering This Section Of Tail Plane From A JU88 Shot Down In Wales During Or After The Battle Of Britain ?..

This Consignment Items Sold To A Local Collector Whom I Have Traded With Since 1991.

It would of course make the perfect centre piece for any WW2 aviation collection as it is almost certainly the best  example to have surfaced ..

Amazingly the section of aircraft had remained in the same family since the beginning of WW2 until it was bought to my attention ..

The swastika decorated section was produced by the AEG factory now better known for domestic cookers… These sections were screwed to the air frame so the souvenir hunter  was able to remove this tail section from the downed “Raider” before the Home Guard arrived.

The Rarity of such trophies cannot be overstated as a 24 hour guard was put on each downed aircraft before the ministry collected the  wreckage for evaluation and scrap.
